BRIAN STELFREEZE is a comic book penciller, inker, painter, and colourist. A comics legend, he has a career going back to the late 1980s, has worked for nearly every major publisher in the US, is noted for his legendary 50 issue cover run on the classic Batman Shadow of the Bat title in the 1990s, and his more recent run as artist on the acclaimed 2016 Black Panther relaunch, with bestselling writer Ta-Nehisi Coates. He has provided an extensive body of cover work for DC and Marvel Comics, including Batman, Detective, Catwoman, Birds of Prey, Legends of the Dark Knight, Firestorm, Jonah Hex, Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Domino, Iron Man, Daredevil, and of course loads of covers for Black Panther. Stelfreeze has also worked as cover and interior artist for various smaller and independent publishers, including Ride, Gun Candy, Matador, and Hard Place for Image, and various titles from Boom Studios and Aftershock. He also acted as art director for indie publisher 12-Gauge Comics. Current and upcoming projects include covers for various Batman titles and graphic novel collections, Marvel covers, and soon to be announced series from Image and 12 Gauge Comics. Brian Stelfreeze lives in Atlanta, USA.

SANA TAKEDA is an illustrator and comic book artist from Japan, known as the artist on the smash-hit Image series, Monstress. The popular and acclaimed fantasy epic, written by Marjorie Liu, won multiple awards in 2018, including 5 Eisner Awards. Featuring incredibly detailed cover and interior art work, Sana won 2 Eisner Awards for Monstress in 2018, Best Painter/Multimedia Artist and Best Cover Artist. Her art is loved by people for subtleties unique to her. At age 20 Takeda started working as a 3D CGI designer for Japanese video game company, SEGA. Her comic book career includes work for Image Comics, Aspen, and Boom Studios, amongst others. After working on several titles for Marvel, including X-Men, Venom, Civil War II, and Ms Marvel, she started to work with Marjorie Liu as the creative team on X-23, which won the pair wide fan acclaim. In 2013 the two paired up again to work on the creator-owned Monstress series for Image Comics. An unprecedented success, the first trade paperback collection of Monstress became the best-selling graphic novel on Amazon in 2016. Sana is currently working on the latest issue of Monstress as well as upcoming covers for Marvel and DC Comics. Sana Takeda lives in Tokyo, Japan.

ANI-MIA has been cosplaying since 2008 but has been a geek since birth. Her love for video games, comic books and anime are reflected in her wide variety of cosplay costumes. She has been a Cosplay Guest at over 150 conventions across the globe as well as judged championship cosplay contests, appeared in both online and print magazines as well as television appearances. She’s also the Cosplay Writer for Otaku USA Magazine, the premiere print magazine about anime and manga in the United States, and the official video host for PreviewsWorld, the online version of the comic shop’s monthly catalog for consumers and retailers. She has also been featured on the cover of Vampirella and Archie Comics. The one thing she really wants to do is help bring the community together as a whole to encourage each other as well as help others; and she has spearheaded numerous philanthropic events annually to help do this. Ani-Mia lives in Virginia, USA. 

BECKA NOEL is a costume designer and has been cosplaying for eight years. She specializes in armor and props using worbla and any other materials she can get her hands on. Recently, Becka partnered with McCalls Pattern Company to design exclusive costume patterns which will be available in 2018 and 2019. She is completely self-taught and is always working on improving her craft. Becka has organized several cosplay groups that have seen viral online reach, including the My Little Warrior Pony group, Valkyreevees and Care Bear Knights group from Katsucon in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Becka has featured in numerous publications for her cosplay, including: Cosplay Culture Magazine, iCosplay Magazine, The New York Times, NBC, Business Insider, Otaku Magazine, Gizmodo, and more. She was also a member of the cast for the reality competition show ‘Cosplay Melee’, which aired in March 2017 on the SYFY channel, is often a panelist at conventions, and regularly hosts cosplay parties and events at shows. Becka currently teaches workshops on armor and prop making with worbla at Manhattan Wardrobe Supply. Becka Noel lives in New York City, USA.

BILL MASUKU, Zimbabwean comic book writer and artist, has been self-publishing comics since 2016, most notably Razor-Man and Captain South Africa. His work is greatly inspired by shonen anime, manga, comic books and film. His comic Razor-Man has been featured in both volumes of the Kugali Anthology, a collection of African comic books from across the continent. He is very passionate about skills and youth development, running art workshops at the Harare International Festival of Arts and assisting in a game development workshop conducted by Leti Arts. Under the publisher Sera Blue he has been contracted for his writing to develop an urban fantasy novel as well as a graphic novel slated for release in 2019. He has also appeared as a guest and panelist at several regional conventions, including Comic Con Africa 2018. Bill Masuku lives in Harare, Zimbabwe. 

WARREN LOUW is a freelance illustrator and character designer. He is one of the most celebrated artists from South Africa, is self taught, and works in both traditional and digital media. His ability to create images with meticulous detail and imagination has gained considerable attention internationally with over 1.9 million pageviews on his DeviantArt account alone. He has also attended San Diego Comic Con 2014, Draw Break Mexico 2016, and FanCon Cape Town Comic Con 2016 and 2017 as a special guest artist.

Well recognised for his mastery of renditions of beautiful women and a perfectionist in his illustrations, his work has been featured in print publications such as ImagineFX Magazine, various UDON Entertainment Capcom tribute art books, Ballistic Publishing's Exotique, Photoshop Essentials, Masters of Anatomy, 21 Draw, as well as comic covers for UDON's Darkstalkers #2 TPB, Street Fighter vs. Darkstalkers #2, Street Fighter Shadaloo Special #1 and DC Comics' Power Girl #27, Harley Quinn Rebirth #1 and Harley Quinn 25 Year Anniversary Special #1. He has also done conceptual work for Longship Armoury, Phoenix Age Gaming and Bandai Namco.

With a new love for video editing he now offers tutorials via Gumroad and 21Draw. Warren Louw lives in Johannesburg, SA. 

LOYISO MKIZE is the founder of Loyiso Mkize Art and creator of the popular and acclaimed superhero comic book series, Kwezi. He has been in the local comic book scene for nearly ten years. Loyiso’s fine arts career spans seven years with multiple solo and group exhibitions, which has a keen following both locally and internationally. He hopes his work will leave a lasting contribution to the local and international industry. Loyiso Mkize lives in Cape Town, South Africa.

CLYDE BEECH is a born and bred Capetonian. He specialises in comic and story book art. He's best known for his story plotting, colour and finishing art on the Kwezi comic, as well as Art Directing the Supa Strikas comic book. He is a skilled digital artist with a skill set that includes Illustration, colour art, digital painting, character design and world building. He's had a brief stint in 2D animation, as a background and texture artist, on shows for both Disney Junior and Cookie Jar entertainment . Clyde loves reading comics and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of them, he's also a gaming and pop culture enthusiast, and has a background in martial arts. Clyde Beech lives in Cape Town, SA.

MOHALE MASHIGO was born in Mapetla, Soweto. She is a multi-disciplinary storyteller whose debut novel, The Yearning, won the University of Johannesburg Debut Prize in 2017. She was also included in Mail & Guardian’s  2017 list of 200 Young South Africans. Mohale recently joined the creative team of the Kwezi comic, providing the script for the latest edition. Her interests span the life of legendary story women, Brenda Fassie and Toni Morrison. Mohale Mashigo lives in Cape Town, SA.

ANTON KANNEMEYER is a fine artist, comic book artist & writer, and founding editor of the renowned and controversial Bitterkomix (1992), an anti-apartheid, socio-political and satirical comic magazine published periodically since its inception in the early 1990s.
Anton has exhibited his work extensively in South Africa, Europe and the USA. He is represented by galleries in New York, Paris, and Vienna. His work has been published in numerous publications and catalogues around the world, and is held in many permanent art collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His book, Pappa in Afrika, won the best international graphic novel award at the Amadora BD Festival in Portugal in 2015. In November 2018 a collection of his work with the same title was published by La 5e Couche in French. Anton Kannemeyer lives in Cape Town, SA. 

CONRAD BOTES is a fine artist, comic book artist, and key contributor to the renowned and controversial Bitterkomix, published in South Africa since 1992. His biting satire, frequently directed at South African society, politics and religion, is channeled into both his painting and printmaking. Conrad’s comix has been published regularly in the Bitterkomix series, alongside those of his frequent collaborator, Anton Kannemeyer, since the early 1990s. In 2004 Botes won the Absa l'Atelier award, and in 2009 he was festival artist at Aardklop in Potchefstroom. Important group exhibitions include Victims and Martyrs at the Gothenburg Kunsthalle, Sweden (2011); Peekaboo: Current South Africa at the Tennis Palace Art Museum, Helsinki (2010); the 17th Biennale of Sydney (2010); ... for those who live in it: Pop culture, politics and strong voices at MU Eindhoven, The Netherlands (2010); the third Guangzhou Triennial, China (2008); Africa Comics at the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York (2007); and the 2006 Havana Biennale. Conrad Botes lives in Cape Town, SA. 

KINPATSU COSPLAY (Tayla Barter) is South Africa’s most well-known cosplayer, with a massive following on her social media platforms, and is recognized worldwide for her incredible talent and craftsmanship. Extremely prolific, Tayla has been cosplaying since 2012, and has made over 100 costumes in the last 6 years. She specializes in armoured costumes and her cosplays ranges across various genres, including gaming, anime, and western films & TV. She has been an invited guest at conventions around the world, including Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and China, and will be representing South Africa at the Crown Championship of Cosplay in Chicago in March. In addition, she regularly hosts cosplay workshops at various events across South Africa. Tayla also shares her extensive cosplay knowledge through her YouTube videos, where she runs tutorials and reviews her costumes. Kinpatsu Cosplay has garnered an impressive array of milestones : Comic Con Africa's Champion of Cosplay (2018) , 1st place Overall ( rAge 2017 ), 1st place Overall ( GeekFest 2017 ), 1st place Anime Category and 1st place Craftmanship Category ( rAge 2016 ), 1st place Costume Construction Category and 3rd place Games Category ( rAge 2015 ), 1st place GeekFest Cosplay Competition ( 2015 ), 2nd place Gaming Category ( rAge 2014 ), and 2nd place Kin Con Cosplay Competition ( 2014 ). Tayla Barter lives in Johannesburg, South Africa

JASON MASTERS began his career in commercial advertising and went on to work as a professional comic book artist for DC, Marvel, and Dynamite Comics. Masters' early work includes Human Target and Red, a comic series penned by Warren Ellis, for DC imprint, Wildstorm Studios. He went on to work on various Batman titles, including Legends of the Dark Knight, Batman Incorporated, Batwoman, and Nightwing. For Marvel he worked on Guardians of the Galaxy, Wolverine, and X-Men. His biggest gig arrived in 2015, when he was handpicked by comics legend, Warrren Ellis, to handle the artwork as ongoing series artist on Dynamite's high-profile relaunch of the James Bond comic book, the first all-new 007 comic series in over 20 years. The series, under the helm of Ellis and Masters, has received popular and critical acclaim and is one of Dynamite Comics bestselling series. His latest comic, Caster, stars Common, actor, film producer, poet and American hip hop recording artist. Caster features an original soundtrack by Common and Grammy award winning musician and composer Robert Glasper, with artwork provided by Masters. It is available now on the Line Webtoon app and can be read online here
Jason Masters lives in Johannesburg, SA.  

SEAN IZAAKSE has been working as a freelance illustrator and comic artist for the last 8 years. An artist on the Pathfinder comics for Dynamite Entertainment, he has contributed artwork to various RPG's like Mutants & Masterminds by Green Ronin Publishing. He has contributed creator-owned work to local publications, Insurrection Studio's Clockworx comic and was featured in the Comic Brew Outline comic, as well as work for companies doing corporate comics. Izaakse is the artist and co-creator, along with writer Vito Delsante, of the creator-owned series Stray from  Action Lab Entertainment. Izaakse has recently added MARVEL COMICS to his list of work, including books like Thunderbolts, Avengers, Deadpool and recently finished a run on Champions. He is currently working on the Avengers No Road Home event, to be released in February. In his free time he roleplays with friends, watches way too many movies and fills his instagram with pictures of his dog. Sean Izaakse lives in Johannesburg, SA.
